Overflowing drainage in Tinaan, Naga ‘getting worse’

Sun.Star received these photos and video below from Dayien Gry, who also reported the same problem last July this year.

Aside from these photos and video is Gry’s message sent through Sun.Star’s Facebook page:

“Sa Relocation Site ni Tinaan City of Naga Cebu. Nisamot ni sya kagrabe karon sir kay libre na baya mi ug tubig sa Apo Cement Corporation o Cemex. Actually, ang Apo jud ang motrabaho ani ug ipahabwa sa una since sila man ang nagparelocate namo diri since 1998, then siguro ila na gi turn over sa barangay ang responsibility kay kutob ra man ingon ang mga konsehal naa na daw pundo but until now, wa japon gilihok.”

Gry is once again calling on the concerned officials, especially of Tinaan, Naga, Cebu, to act on this problem.

Dayien Gry is calling on concerned agencies or officials to address the overflowing drainage in a relocation site in Tinaan, City of Naga, Cebu.

“It’s an overdue issue but our barangay officials do nothing about it no matter how many times we reported the problem,” Gry told Sun.Star — Philippine News on Facebook.

To concerned officials or parties, please act on this.

Duros road Construction in La Paz, Bogo

This photo is taken at National Road, La Paz, Bogo. I have tried to contact Duros, Department of Environment, mayor of Bogo, governor’s office and the Office of the President, but all declined to reply. This road was perfect, I have photos of the thickness of the concrete. Nevertheless, it has been dug up costing 36 + million pesos. People living along the road cannot breathe with the dust. It’s unbelievable, children in these houses. I have lots of photos. An absolute disgrace digging this road up it was 9 inches thick to begin with and now they only wanted to make it 11 inches thick. Total waste of tax payers money.

Department of the environment will not comment even although their mission statement . Quote mission is to mobilize our citizenry in protecting, conserving and managing the environment and natural resources.

It is our mandate to stop environmental abuses, reverse ecological degradation, conserving remaining natural resources and ensure that they benefit our people. (Contributor/Barry and Joy Neil)

Riprap sa Samboan, Cebu

Niadtong panahon nga gisugdan sa pag trabaho ang maong riprap sa lungsod sa Samboan, Sugbo, gidayeg baya kini sa kadaghanan labina na gyud sa mangagi nga motorista kay kalikayan naman ang pagdahili sa yuta ngadto sa karsada. Apan taod-taod na sab kini nga nahunongan sa pagtrabaho. Nakaali na lang hinuon ang mga bato sa karsada ug lisod kining agian sa mga sakyanan labina kon dunay ikasugat. Railings at Carbon Market

A concerned citizen submitted this photo of railings placed on the new road at Carbon market in Cebu City.

The source, who asked not to be named, told Sun.Star that the stalls facing the road have railings. “However, the railings seemed to have stopped abruptly right before the stall at the edge, thus making the stall at the end only open for everyone without the hassle of any railings.”

The source added that “it seems very unfair since few or only the ‘suki’ are the only consumers who give patience at going to the railed stalls.”

“I find this situation very discriminating. Will the railings not continue at the end of the block?” the source added in a email to Sun.Star.
