Introducing ‘The Real Noy’

Posted on 21 November 2009 by admin

AS A way for the public to get to know Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, who is the Liberal Party’s presidential bet, his campaign has come up with a video series dubbed “60 Seconds With Noy.”

The 60-second video clips on a host of topics aim to introduce: “The Realy Noy. Unstaged. Unscripted. Undirected.”

Aquino talks about how people power can be achieved by creating an informed citizenry that becomes an empowered citizenry in one, the need for Filipinos to unite to solve the country’s problems in another, and his stand on the Reproductive Health (RH) bill in a third video, where he said he leaves it to the couple to choose their family planning program.

Videos are being uploaded regularly to Aquino’s YouTube account and his campaign exhorts people to “make it a habit” to catch “60 Seconds With Noy” everyday.

Another way to get to know Aquino and his advocacies is to visit his website noynoy.ph where there are pages and articles that talk about the senator’s background.

Also at his website are links to Aquino’s social networks, including Facebook, Friendster, Youtube, Twitter, and Multiply.

At Aquino’s official Facebook page, where he has over a hundred thousand supporters, fans share links to articles, write encouragments, upload videos, and promise votes for the senator. His page also has links to his other sites and hosts photos and videos of Aquino in his various appearances.

Most of the content in the senator’s Facebook account is replicated in his Multiply and Friendster pages.

In response to the “Who I Want to Meet” question in Friendster, Aquino said “All Filipinos who are against corruption and for good governance.”

His Twitter account, on the other hand, gives minute updates of the senator’s day.

Aquino, in his main site and social networks, seeks volunteers for his campaign.

Comelec precinct finder

Posted on 09 November 2009 by admin

This early, voters can verify their registration online using Comelec’s precinct finder.

The Commission on Election (Comelec) says, though, that some names, especially those who only registered starting April 1, 2009, might not yet appear in searches.

Since some cities and towns have not submitted an updated list of voters, residents of these places who applied for registration, transfer, correction of entries/change of name, or reactivation beginning December 2, 2008 will also not find their names in Comelec’s search facility. They may call their Comelec office to ask about the status of their registration.
