WHEN I was in high school, I used to ghost-write for my friends. Formal theme compositions, book reports, love letters and birthday and Christmas greetings: I have written them all, for a fee, of course.
Christmas letters were the most difficult to compose because you had to give them some spiritual color, sort of, and the only religious thing I knew about Christmas was that a baby was born in a manger to a virgin mother.
