THE archdiocesan committee tasked to prepare the venue for the thanksgiving activities for the canonization of Blessed Pedro Calungsod prefers to hold the mass at the South Road Properties (SRP).

AN OFFICIAL of the Commission on Blessed Pedro Calungsod clarified that the Vatican in Rome has the final say on the title of the person to be canonized.
Monsignor Ildebrando A. Leyson, postulator and co-chairman of the Commission on Blessed Pedro Calungsod, said in the case of Calungsod, the title stated in the Vatican is “Pedro Calungsod, lay catechist, martyr.”
The name San Pedro de Cebu was an idea coming from Archbishop Emeritus of Cebu Ricardo Cardinal Vidal, Leyson said. Read the rest of this entry
