North parishes pool money to decorate their carrozas

SOME 45 carrozas from different parishes in northern Cebu joined the procession to the site of the national thanksgiving mass for the canonization of San Pedro Calungsod at the South Road Properties (SRP).

The parishes reportedly spent between P10,000 and P250,000 on the floats’ decoration alone. Part of that money was used to ship rare flowers from Manila. Read the rest of this entry

Aquino: Adopt Pedro’s ideals

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III yesterday described the thanksgiving mass as the embodiment of the Filipinos’ pride and gratitude for the canonization of Visayan martyr Pedro Calungsod.

Archbishop thanks those who helped

SAN Pedro Calungsod is the most popular among the seven new saints who were canonized at the Vatican City in Rome in October, according to Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma.

He thanked the Provincial Government for hosting the dinner after the national thanksgiving mass last Friday.
