San Pedro Calungsod templete a heritage site, Rama declares

CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama has declared as a heritage structure the templete used during the Nov. 30 national thanksgiving mass for the canonization of San Pedro Calungsod.

Mayor stresses need to protect Pedro’s temple, environs at SRP

TO PRESERVE the site of the San Pedro Calungsod thanksgiving mass at the South Road Properties (SRP), Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama directed Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Ramon Melvin Buenafe to deploy police personnel to guard the templete (small temple) and its surroundings.

Rama said in a news conference yesterday that when he visited the site last Sunday, two days after Calungsod’s national thanksgiving mass, he found that the back gate of the templete was open. Read the rest of this entry

Calungsod gun ban lifted; no violator arrested: PRO 7

ALL firearm owners with permits can now carry their guns outside their houses in Cebu City again after the gun ban was lifted yesterday.
