MALACAÑANG on Monday expressed hope that the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona would end at the soonest time possible for Congress to address other “equally important” legislative matters.
Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said the Palace prefers the trial to end before June 7, one day before Congress goes on a sine die break.
“We would like this impeachment trial to end before June 7. Our basic belief is that the truth should come out in the impeachment trial,” Lacierda said. Read more
