MANILA — President Benigno Aquino III admitted on Wednesday that his net worth in 2011 has increased, but assured that everything he owns has been declared in his statements of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

In an interview during the inauguration of hydroelectric power plants and radar tower station in Catanduanes, the President said the improvement in his wealth was due to inheritance, particularly his parent’s house on Times Street in Quezon City.

“There is an increase and the increase primarily is because of the inheritance that I got from both my father and my mother, which were finalized in 2011,” Aquino said, adding his four sisters have decided to bequeath their shares to him. Read more
