MANILA — The gag order imposed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on the ongoing probe of the hostage crisis that killed eight tourists in Manila contradicted the promised transparency of the new government, a lawmaker said Tuesday.
Representative Ben Evardone (lone district, Eastern Samar), chairman of the House of Representatives committee on public information, said only a probe conducted with full transparency would be acceptable to the international community. Read rest of story
