    Launching the Power of Balance

Manila, Philippines 02 August 2012 – The highly acclaimed Power of Balance will be launched together with an open art exhibit reflecting the book’s theme on 18 August 2012, 8-p.m. at the Vinyl on Vinyl Gallery 7274 Collective Malugay st. Makati City.

People work so hard in trying to achieve specific goals and aims in their life that they forget the purpose of their existence and often get out of balance.

These imbalances in life more often than not affect not only one aspect of our lives but, in fact have a knock on effect which affects the rest of our life. The “Power of Balance” (published by Primoris Enterprise) by Clint Mendoza offers insights and advice related to this dilemma.

Power of Balance was written to enlighten people on the precariousness of life and to help them achieve a balanced lifestyle. It teaches new principles and concepts which can help change their perspective of work and life in general. The Power of Balance further persuades us to identify our “personal beliefs” and aids us in making the right daily choices. Our success (or failure) is often the compounded results of our daily choices in life. It endeavours to empower us with a balanced self which we eventually need to expand outwards thereby harnessing the unlimited power of balance.

Author Clint Mendoza will unleash his Power of Balance on 18 August at 8-p.m. at the Vinyl on Vinyl Gallery 7274 Collective Malugay st. Makati City. The launching will also feature art works by world-class artists specially commissioned to reflect the book’s concept. Advance release copies of the book will also be available on the event. Admission is free.

I have been tasked to send out a press release to the local dailies regarding a free Arts Workshop for PWDs on Nov. 18 this year. This is facilitated by DUWA and sponsored by Globe Telecom.

    Here is the press release:

DUWA and Globe Join Hands in Honoring PWDs with a Free Arts Day Workshop

Even Persons with Disabilities (PWD) have the right to play and live life artfully. Because of this, Father Loreto Jaque and his group, DUWA (Deliverance and Uplift in the Wonders of the Arts) will facilitate a free workshop called Arts Day with PWDs on November 18, 2012, Sunday from 8AM to 4PM at the Social Hall of the Cebu City Hall.

Sponsored by Globe Telecom, IROC Vismin, this whole day event’s goal is to give PWDS a voice to express their thoughts and artistic capabilities. It is meant to celebrate their stories and to honor them by letting them explore their creativity and imagination through fun activities. Art materials, snacks and lunch will be provided for free.

Participants should be those in wheelchairs, crutches or have prosthetics for legs. They should be able to use their arms and hands for the activities as well as have the ability to express their own thoughts and feelings. Those who are interested can call telephone number 254-9195 and should supply their full name and age.

DUWA meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm to 9:30pm at the SPFY Hall, Archbishop’s Compound in D. Jakosalem Street, Cebu City. Those who wish to learn more can call telephone number 254-9195.

The group is led by Father Jaque, who studied art and play therapy in the European Graduate School in Switzerland and in La Mouline Play Therapy Training Centre in France. The priest is a firm believer of David Kessler’s words that says, “To play is to live life to its fullest”. He is also into archetypal psychology, which is geared more towards the care, instead of the cure, of the soul.

Please do contact me for any questions regarding the press release. Also, please let me know when the release could be published.

I hope you will be able to find space in your community section for this.

Thank you very much and God bless.
