I will self bombard and accelerate further the necessities of my destined character to perform great deeds for Man…

But on a lighter note and just for 2012, I will replace my scotch with wine, my beef with fish, and my ephemeral romances with lasting partnerships…

Personal: To be able to spend more quality time with my family. I aim to better juggle my time among my family, clientele in the shop, corporate clients my friends and for myself.

Country: To entice more people to plant more trees and segregate garbage. Small steps to do our part to prevent another Ondoy or Sendong.

Rachel “Qt” Del Mar, representative 1st District, Cebu

For the Nation: To continue my unwavering stand in fighting, protecting and promoting the interest of the Filipina and the Filipino child, as well as the general welfare of the Filipinos.

To continue in promoting awareness in the conservation of the environment in order to decrease the devastating effect of calamities, if not prevent them. To promote unity and peace by helping avoid and resolve conflicts in whatever way possible.

Rachel del Mar

For Myself: To continue being appreciative and grateful for the guidance and advice from my parents, elders and co-members in the house.

We learn something new everyday and in this regard, I hope to continue transforming myself into a better person and be a catalyst in bringing people around me closer to our Creator.

My personal resolutions are to stay positive, work with passion and live like there is no tomorrow! 2012 should all be about being fierce and fabulous.

Stop complaining and start helping. It is time for us to appreciate and be grateful of how blessed our country is and start helping ourselves and love our country more.

Michelle Pamintuan

Job: Public Sector Account Manager, Enterprise Business; Hewlett-Packard Philippines

Personal: To dedicate more time for God and family. I always get too busy with work or social events and I’ve realized how important God and family are. They will always be our support system no matter the circumstance or where you are in your life.

Michelle Pamintuan

This 2012, I want to be the support system for my family and also have my faith take a more proactive role in all aspects of my life.

For the country: Definitely to implement more IT Systems in the Philippine Government. 2012 is the year of the Philippines!

Given the economic downturn in the US and Europe, the world’s focus for economic growth is in Asia, particularly next wave cities from the BRIC countries, like Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.

By automating more processes within the Philippine government, we cut corruption and protect the accuracy of goverment data.

The Philippines has to take full advantage of this regional growth, and in this growth, IT has a very big role to play.

My personal resolution is to eat healthier. For our country, to be more supportive of government efforts that will bring forth greater good to the majority.

Ginggay Joven-Dela Merced, general manager visions and expressions public relations and special events

“I dont really make new year’s resolutions anymore. I never get to do them anyway. 2011 was an enlightening year. It was a year I discovered so much about my children-their quirks, habits, and characters, I had been working so hard the past years I kind of missed a lot of moments in my children’s lives.

Ginggay Joven-Dela Merced

So now, I am making a conscious effort to slow time down and make it count more. It sounds so cliche, but really, they’ll only be children once. I wouldn’t want to miss out on those”wonder years” moments any more. ”

“For the country, in relation again to my children since they’re the only ones that are sort of in my own “control” (because I can’t do much about those I can’t control, right? Unless I enter politics. hehe)

I hope to continue to open the kids’ eyes to the sad concepts of poverty and tragedy – and their human obligation for charity and volunteerism.

My personal resolution would be that I learn the meaning of the word balance, in anything that I wish to do, whether it be personal or professional.

For the country, I want to engage in the upliftment of the less privilege by helping alleviate their difficulties in any capacity whatsoever.
