Jay-R Siaboc
Jay-R Siaboc (Eduardo Siaboc Jr. in real life) is a Filipino singer actor who hailed from Toledo City, Cebu. He was born on January 21, 1987.
He was first recognized as runner-up to grand star dreamer Yeng Constantino in the very first season of ABS-CBN’s Philippine version of Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA).
Jay-R is the youngest of five siblings of a mediocre family. He was forced to quit school in order to help his parents.
He used to live with his uncle in Manila, who introduced him to the band industry. However, with his young age, he was still not allowed to work in a band that time, thus he went back to Cebu.
He, on the other hand, pursued his passion in singing and became a vocalist of band named “Scrambled Eggs” in Cebu.
But as he secured a place in PDA when he joined, he was given a chance to be listed on the roster of talented recording artists of Star Records, ABS-CBN’s music arm.
Jay-R’s first acting appearance on television was in 2007 when he portrayed the role of Allen in the mini-series “Your Song” dubbed “Cool Off”.
In the same year, he again guested in Your Song in the episode titled “Minsan Lang” as he took the character named Angelo.
He then won the role of Jeffrey Tuazon in “Pangarap na Bituin”.
As his first project in 2008, Jay-R appeared in the horror series “Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara”. He also starred in the action TV series of ABS-CBN entitled “Palos”, playing the role of a secret agent named Enzo.
And as his big project last year, he played the role of the alter-ego of the popular komiks superhero “Kapitan Boom”.
This year, Jay-R just started his latest TV project “Kambal sa Uma” where he played the role of Toro, a kind-hearted side-kick of a cruel man at a carnival.
