WITH only two days left, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Vicente Emano is urging those who are qualified to vote to register as the City Government has allowed the use of the City Tourism Hall as registration venue to accommodate the huge influx of registrants until October 31.

Citing a 2009 Supreme Court (SC) ruling, the Kabataan party-list group said Monday that the deadline set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on the registration of voters is illegal.

ANTICIPATING a mad rush of people still wanting to register, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has issued rules on how Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) will handle them on the last day scheduled Wednesday, October 31.
