Fil-Brit talent Matthew Parry-Jones returns to Cebu

FILIPINO-British performer Matthew Parry-Jones has returned to Cebu, Philippines, to feed poor kids as part of his foundation’s (Jeremiah’s Foundation International) outreach program.

The 15-year-old Matthew, together with his Cebuana mother, Evelyn, Living Light Christian Fellowship pastor Ben Neri, and volunteers held a feeding program for the kids at Pediacare section of the Cebu City Medical Center on March 26.

On March 29, Matthew went to the Basak Elementary School in Mandaue City to give school supplies to kids. (MORE)

1st Coconut festival at Central

“The idea of this project started as a craving for some coconut juice. And then we realized there is more to coconut than just the juice. One pitched why not have a coconut exhibit for Araw ng Davao? Then the idea grew bigger and as they say, the rest is history”, this was how Felcris Centrale Marketing Officer Jolen Crame and his team came up with the idea of holding a coconut exhibit recently.

Together with the Philippine Coconut Authority the first coconut festival was born, they organized a trade fair, product demos, symposium, variety Show, cooking demo, flair tending competition, beat box showdown, acoustic sessions, drum beaters and beta competition. Read more…

Morning prayers gave way to the opening of the Strawberry Lane and Agro-Industrial Trade Fair in the valley’s market and municipal grounds.

The province capital, La Trinidad has kept the moniker for its fresh berries and stamped its recognition with a Guinness World record for the largest strawberry cake in the 2005 and is known to have a thriving vegetable and strawberry producing town. Read more…
