Caragan Festival 2014

Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales and the City Council headed by Vice Mayor Christian Halili announced Wednesday that Mabalacat City’s widely acclaimed Caragan Festival will be institutionalized to prevent it from suffering the fate of the similarly popular Ibon Ebon Festival of Candaba, Pampanga.

KCCC honors volunteers, sponsors

Mama Ching Quejas, president of KCCC (Kalayaan Cultural Community Center) honored the active Volunteers and regular Sponsors, with a Volunteer evening at KCCC Mississauga, recently.

KCCC is a non-profit charitable organization founded on Dec.8, 1997 to serve the community. They moved to their KCCC building at 5225 Orbitor Rd. in Mississauga on December 15, 2005.

Conductors finalize Marriage Preparation Course

THE Marriage Course conductors of the Prince of Peace Church in Scarborough finalized their schedule for the 20 couples who will be attending the course this year.

The six-week course is geared to guide the couples, who will get married in the church this year, on how to handle the various situations and important subjects they will encounter in their married life, particularly in their early years of marriage.

Filipino journalists 2014 reunion worldwide

They met recently at The Village Roaster, 3452 Kingston Road (Corner Markham), Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as they plan the 2014 Reunion of Filipino Journalists both active and retired throughout the world.

Sicat left for the Philippines some few days ago to closely coordinate with the National Press Club of the Philippines and other publications in the Philippine in connection with the planned reunion of Filipino journalists.
