Banjo Norte, of Alaska Team TBB, won his first Ironman 70.3 after months of focused training and right nutrition in Laguna with his coach, professional triathlete Mathieu O’Halloran, who finished 17th place in the pro division with a time of 4:38.48. Norte won P50,000 cash and a trophy. READ MORE

Atkinson, Steffen win Ironman race

Atkinson, Steffen lead Ironman race

Australian triathlete Courtney Atkinson was the first to come out from the 1.9-kilometers swim, which fired off 6:25 a.m. on a gloomy Sunday morning of the second year of Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines.

Atkinson led the more than 1,000 swimmers who joined this year’s Ironman. Last year’s champion, Australian national Pete Jacobs, was two minutes behind Atkinson in the swim time. READ MORE
