6M to 8M people to join Black Nazarene feast

OFFICIALS of the Quiapo Church (Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene) in Manila estimate that around six to eight million devotees will flock to the annual feast day on January 9.

“It might still be the same but I don’t know if there will be an increase,” said Quiapo Church Rector Monsignor Clemente Ignacio in a press conference Thursday.

Fewer out-of-town contingents will be joining the Sinulog grand parade on January 20 this year.
