A RUSSIAN artist yesterday made a sculptural bust of a Cebuano businessman in less than two hours.
With a lump of clay and Luis “Kiting” Moro Jr. as his model, Gregory Pototsky, who has 50 monuments erected around the world, showed art enthusiasts and fine arts students how he works as an artist.
“In making a sculptural portrait, we should create the character and the psychology of the person,” he said through his wife and translator Olga.(more)
BEFORE the Aquino administration can meet its target of six million foreign tourists by the end of his term, it has to first address some issues affecting the tourism industry, Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim said.

THE Russian provincial government of St. Petersburg will promote Cebu as a tourist destination, announced St. Petersburg vice governor Igor Metelsky last Thursday, during his keynote speech in the opening of the 2nd Philippine-Russian Business Forum and Exhibition held at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in Mandaue City.
“We are ready to promote Cebu as a tourist destination in St. Petersburg,” said Metelsky in Russian. (more)
